At&T: HTC Surround vs. Samsung Focus?
I'm a huge music person and I've been wanting a new phone. Currently, i'm looking at the HTC Surround for its 16GB onboard memory, but I've been hearing bad things about its battery life and freezing issues, while i've been hearing good things about the Samsung Focus. I'm just wondering from a Media standpoint which phone is better suited to my needs. I also use a MacBook Pro for everything, so i'm also concerned about syncing issues with Zune. Please help
LG 47SL90
Does anyone know if the new 47SL90 has the same screen problems that the Samsung 6000, 7000, and 8000 LED's have with screen uniformity, backlight fluctuations, and difference in edge and middle of screen lighting differences? We have ordered a 47LH90 over the internet but they are having major problems receiving stock and we do not know when we will receive the TV. This was a bundled deal with US Appliance and they were adding the Blu Ray 390 player for no additional cost. We would be getting both units for $1300. If we cannot get a definite date on delivery we would like to purchase the SL90 instead but wondering if anyone can shed light on these potential problems. We were hoping that Cnet would have a full report on this model by now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2011 MBP 13"-Buy Now or Wait?
I've been saving up for a new laptop for about a year now, and I want to get my first Mac. I have two choices, get one now, or wait until Spring "11 for the refresh. My question is, is there any new major chipsets or processors that are a likely add to the 13 inch MPB? Because the C2Duo processors are very outdated.
And also, can the 13 inch run non-intensive games for Mac, like Minecraft? I just love that game.

Can MacBook Pro laptop use IMAC monitor (easily)?
I am considering monitor options to use with my laptop (MacBook Pro).
I work as a print graphic designer and am partial to apple monitors.
I am thinking that spending for a 24" imac could be a good investment IF I could easily connect the laptop to that monitor.
Ideally I would like to work primarily on the laptop and use the imac mostly for backup, since that insures I have ALL needed files with me when I travel for work, and at the same time I wouldn't be SOLELY dependent on a single computer!
Any input on a which Imac would make most sense, or advice on this whole idea would be appreciated! THANKS- Jane

Large Display for The Hard of Seeing
It is time for my husband's cell phone to be upgraded. He has problems with seeing phones with small displays. The phone he has now,a Samsung,he is able to make the print very large and he is able to see that Ok, however, he wants a phone that is a little more updated and would like to know which phones have the ability to enlarge the print or the display is already easy to read.

Pairing Bluetooth Headphones
I purchased a Bluefox bluetooth stereo headset for my iPhone 4. I was able to pair it and it's been working great. This device was paired with iOS 4.1
I recently purchased another Bluefox bluetooth stereo headset for my wife's 3G with iOS 4.2 and cannot pair the device up with the phone. I even tried pairing the first set that I purchased for my iPhone 4 and it will not pair up either. Then I was really stupid and removed the pairing from my iPhone 4 to see if I could add the other one, but it would pair up. Then I tried to pair the first device back up with my iPhone 4 (which was paired up when I was using iOS 4.1) but now with iOS 4.2 it will not pair up. This is very frustrating. I've spent $200 dollars on two bluetooth headphones that I will not be able to use. Any advice? I will definitely be calling Apple Tech Support next week.

using HD large screen as additional monitor
I have mac (desktop) and want to add my new large screen as an additional monitor. I have an adapter (mini to HDMI) and a large HDMI cable. I plug the cable into the TV, and into the back of my MAC screen (the dvi via the adapter) but it doesn't show up on my MAC, also nothing shows up as "available' on the tv from that input.. any suggestions? Basically I want computer screen content, on the 82" HD screen..

firewire drive compatibility deals
hi all,
i have an ext HDD formatted with NTFS. it has a lot of problems in working on macs. the mac OS is only able to read and not write to the drive.
so i am planning to buy a firewire drive for mac. and wondering -
1- can a firewire drive work on windows computers?
so will i be able to transfer data from my mac to windows OS ?
2- where can i get good deals on firewire drives ?

Help with Application Install - needs command line input
I've just installed the BRL-CAD application and it need a command line input ( /usr/brlcad/bin ) to the System - see below.
I am not that familiar with the commands although no problem getting into the Terminal. I just don't want to screw this up. I am running a Mac Mini, 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, OS 10.6.5. I would greatly appreciate some step-by-step help in getting this embedded and the application up and running.
Setting Up the Path:
Once installed, you will need to add /usr/brlcad/bin to your system
PATH. For Bourne shell users, you can run the following:
PATH=/usr/brlcad/bin:$PATH ; export PATH
For C shell users, this should do the same thing:
set path=( /usr/brlcad/bin $path ) ; rehash

Best Picture Settings.
I just purchased a 47LD650 and am very happy with it so far. I would like to see if the picture can be improved a bit. I used the "Picture Wizard" but cannot say that I improved it at all.
Is there a way to Undo this? Or go back to the factory presets?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

External won't mount after defrag

I have a LaCie 1TB ESATA drive which I use(d) with SilverKeeper 2.0.2 to do daily back-ups and some archiving.
After I defragged the drive using Drive Genius 1.5.3, the drive no longer mounts. In Disk Utilities the device appears normally but the volume (unpartitioned) is grayed out.
I don't want to lose the data by reinitiallizing. Any suggestions?
I'm using a G4 with MacOS 10.4.11.

Rumor has it that BB will be coming out next year with a version of Tour that has WiFi and more on board memory. I don't think 256mb of memory and the fact that you can't put apps on the expansion card on the original Tour is a good thing. I'd like to get opinions on waiting for the new version instead of getting the current one.

Erasing/renewing Airport networks
2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac using OS 10.6.4. I'd like to renew/erase the Airport networks listed under the Airport logo at the top banner of my iMac. My hope is to re-install Airport Express and have a wireless network again. I have tried using Airport Utility but get no where with it.
In a related question: do Airport Express devices wear out after being used for 2-3 years or are they bullet-proof? I'm wondering if that is my problem.
